3 Fool Proof Steps to... Affiliate Marketing success!!

A very quick way to get started making money on the internet is with affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is simply advertising products that you do not own and get a percentage of each sale you refer.

To get started is very simple.

Step #1 - Pick a product. Since you don't need your own product, you'll have to have access to as many different topics or products as you can.

The best place to find products is by visiting http://clickbank.net

Sign up as an affiliate. It's free.

Then visit the ClickBank Market Place where you'll find hundreds of information products on a variety of subjects. Pick a topic and product that gets you excited.

Visit the sales page or website for your choice and sign up as an affiliate. The affiliate signup link can normally be found near the bottom of the product website. Sometimes you'll find the signup link at the top right hand site. The link usually says "affiliates" or "make money".

The very best websites and affiliate progams will have pre-written ads, keywords, banners, etc.

Ideally you'll want to find a product that pays out at least 50% or more on each sale.

Step #2 - Now that you've got a product, you'll want to start getting the word out to as many people as possible. This is how you'll make money with affiliate marketing. You can setup an account it google adwords over at http://google.com

What you'll do is write up a tiny, powerful ad that google will show in the paid search section. You then compile a list of highly targeted keywords on your product topic. Keywords are nothing more than search terms your potential customer will use to find information on the subject or

You're bids should be kept as low as possible as to not lose alot of money while tyring to make profit.

Also remember to keep your daily ad budget set low as you're first starting out. This way you can test your ads, keywords, product, etc.

Once you find a product that will produce at least a one percent sales rate(1 for every 100 targeted visitors) you can then raise bids, find new keywords, write and test new ads.

To really make money with google adwords, you'll want to consistently repeat this process for other products you find.

Step #3 - Start a blog. You can start a simole blog and do reviews of the products you chose.

People love reviews. Good or bad you can still make sales with affiliate marketing as long as you're not giving reviews that are dishonest.

You can research for other reviews on your product topic or look for articles to post to your blog.
Then include your affiliate link send your blog readers to the sales site. If they buy, you make money.

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate
product you are marketing.

Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them.

Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information.

Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers.

If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed.

Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again.

By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed.

Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product.

You join newsletters, you start downloading free products, and buying stuff supported by well-worded sales letters. They promise to teach you everything about making money online.

But as most of these products are loaded with useless information that helps you to go nowhere, you keep researching, trying to find the right stuff. You keep downloading and buying things.

By this point, you have accumulated a huge amount of information in your brain. You’re practically overloaded and it is baffling, you get confused and feel disoriented.

As a result of this, you don’t know what to do because a confused mind never accomplishes anything. You try to do things, but all the information you have in your mind blocks and paralyzes you. Nothing is clear, it is all a big mess.

Most of the time, the answer will be No. Don’t get it. If you think it can help you in the near future, just bookmark it. Remember that the Internet is changing at a high speed, the newest product today will probably be old tomorrow. People come out with new techniques and strategies everyday.

Download or buy only what is going to help you to move forward now, go through it immediately and put into practice what you’ve learned.

4. Everyday, at the end of the day, write down the most important thing you have to do tomorrow.

So tomorrow, when you turn on your computer, you start working on it without distraction.

5. Check your e-mail only 2 or 3 times per day. Checking your e-mail can become a bad habit. It is a secondary task and it is not going to help you to move forward.

Never, ever, ever check your e-mail at the start of your working day because it will waste a lot of time and it will distract you. If you do it, then you are starting your day on someone else’s agenda, which is more likely to hurt your own.

It has become famous for Internet sites who are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested to affiliate marketing and want to make money out of it.

But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood.

One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”, though selling is an important activity of affiliate marketing and the central function of a business operation.

Another is that affiliate marketing is commonly linked with “advertising”. While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing.

The merchant has access to markets and customers without him spending valuable time searching out. Banner ads on affiliate sites are not distracting to the site user. It might produce interest for that product and drive the consumer to the merchants’ website. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.
The affiliate or the affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits.

The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, expected payment method and time involved in the contract.

The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. Think of banner ads as the spice in your affiliate diet. Sprinkle them around, but for a heartier helping of sales, you’ll need something more solid! Learn to give your visitors longer, more descriptive pre-sales text. Revamp your affiliate advertising using these simple steps:

1. Pull the Reader in
2. Introduce the Product
3. Explain the Product’s Significance
4. Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

Pull the Reader in

To convince your audience that your text is worth reading, make your first sentence or two very interesting. Make a bold statement, say something seemingly ridiculous, or appeal to your prospect’s emotional side. Then, tie this grabber in with the rest of your copy.
Introduce the Product

What is the product you’re advertising? What does it do? Directly after your grabber, give a compact explanation of your product. Keep this explanation short, while still being very clear. This should still be a very short section of your text.
Explain the Product’s Significance

What will it do for me?

By writing your own copy, you can directly target your unique audience. Make the most of this opportunity! Clearly explain how your readers will benefit from this product.

No one knows your audience like you do. Suggest a variety of product uses just for them, and give examples. This is the time for details - make this section long and rich.
Tell the Reader to Make a Purchase

You’ve come so far - you’ve laid out exactly what the product is and how it will help your unique audience. Now, seal the deal - tell your readers to purchase the product! Include your affiliate link in this section.

This step may sound strange, but it’s necessary. Often, people hear about a product and are genuinely interested, but fail to actually make a purchase. A clear call to a simple action cuts down on buyer ambivalence. Don’t be pushy - just change your verb tenses to the imperative. Instead of:

“If you think that you fit this profile, you might want to think about buying this product.”

Say: “Click here to order an account today.”

Drive Sales - Use Long Copy

If you don’t feel ready to write long copy yourself, ask your affiliate program manager for help! Many companies release well-written articles by respected authors that you can reprint free of charge.

The novelty of the Web is wearing off. People online now are busy. Surfers won’t make a purchase unless you make a great case for what they’ll get out of it. And you’re not going to do that with just a banner ad.

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

With the internet at our disposicion being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.

Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Noting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.

The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

Ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions
that needed answering first
before you enter into an affiliate program.

You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.
